Mountain West Telecom Announces New “Service Protection Plan” (SPP)
Telecommunications provider sets high standard for customer service
MURRAY, Utah – March 24, 2005 – Mountain West Telecom, the region’s premier telecommunications solutions provider, today announced it is now offering a Service Protection Plan (SPP) to both new and current customers with Avaya, Cisco and Mitel telecommunication systems.
Platinum, Gold and Silver plans are each available for customers to choose from. The types of services offered in each plan vary including service hours, remote service, emergency service, training, preventative maintenance, dedicated dispatch, priority service, onsite moves and carrier support.
The plans, which offer customers a way to protect a vital part of their businesses, have grown to meet the needs of the growing market. Fewer customers choose to pay for individual service calls to maintain their system and instead choose plans that are more cost effective.
“The Service Protection Plan has become a significant part of our business,” said Jeffrey Pitts, president of Mountain West Telecom. “As telecommunications systems become more complex and integral to businesses, our Service Protection Plan helps protect our customers from the unexpected. These new SPP options will allow everyone to find a plan that fits their budget, and protect their telecommunications system.”
With new telecommunications systems costing up to tens of millions of dollars, approximately 80 percent of new customers decide to include a service contract as part of the purchase. Those who do not purchase such service plans, run the risk of experiencing significant down time if problems arise. For many of Mountain West Telecom’s clients, the Platinum SPP program will be the most appealing, as it includes around-the-clock support services.
“It’s crucial that when a system goes down or problems arise that our customers receive assistance promptly,” Pitts said. “For emergency service calls we have been able to responds in as few as ten minutes with a technician on site. We make every effort to get businesses up and running in a timely manner because if a client loses the ability to either make or receive phone calls, the results can be considerably damaging.”
